West Coast energy systems partner
Energy systems designed around the way you live and work.
Solar, battery and smart-energy systems for West Coast homes and businesses, installed carefully and supported locally.
Where to start
Three different problems, three different systems.
For your home
Keep the essentials on and the bill down
Backup, hybrid and full solar systems sized around what your household actually runs.

The idea
Solar is a system, not a box.
You are not buying a panel, a battery and an inverter. You are buying the way they behave together on your property, on a February afternoon and at 22:00 in June.
Every part of a system asks a question, and the answers depend on each other. Select any part below to see what we work out before anything is specified.
INV / Conversion and control
How much can run at the same time?
The inverter and charger decides how everything else behaves. It sets the continuous rating, manages transfer between grid and battery and determines what happens the instant the supply drops.
What decides it
- Continuous rating
- Transfer behaviour
- Three-phase capability
- Room to extend rather than replace
How we work
Four stages, in this order.
- 01
Assess
We learn how and when you use energy, which loads matter most and what the site allows, then turn that into a design with the assumptions written down.
- 02
Install
Our team installs, protects, labels, tests and commissions the complete system, then explains how to use it.
- 03
Monitor
Visibility of how the system is actually performing, and a local team to call when something needs attention.
- 04
Maintain
Routine checks, fault diagnosis, performance review and practical improvements to systems we installed and systems we did not.
Evidence
The work makes the argument.
Workmanship
Neatness is engineering.
Routing, protection and labelling are not finishing touches. They decide whether a system is safe to work on, quick to fault-find and cheap to extend.
These are boards we installed. Photographed as they were left.

Complete installation
Inverter, protection, distribution and control on one plane

Main distribution
Labelled circuits and an inverter bypass

DC distribution
Fused, labelled and left with room to extend

PV combiner
String protection and isolation

System controller
System state visible on site

Control detail
Mounted for access, not hidden away
Worth knowing
Read this before you compare quotations.
- Sizing5 min
Inverter power, battery capacity and panel capacity are three different things
Three numbers describe a solar system and they are routinely confused with one another. Getting them straight is the fastest way to read a quotation properly.
- Sizing4 min
Backup or hybrid: which problem are you solving?
Continuity and bill reduction are different goals with different equipment behind them. Deciding which one you are buying makes the rest of the decision much easier.
- Ownership5 min
What your monitoring data is actually telling you
A good day on a dashboard is not a performance figure. Here is how to read the numbers your system reports without drawing the wrong conclusion.
Next step
Start with an assessment, not a quotation.
Tell us how the property is used and what you want it to do. We come out, work through the site and put the reasoning in writing before anyone talks about equipment.
